As soon as Brice returned home from college, he called up Julie. She graduated at the same time and was more than ready to move in. Preparations for their wedding began almost immediately.
Of course, before the happy couple married, they had some fun. They went out on a date that ended in a rather public display of affection in both the changing booth and their car.

Eventually the big day came and Julie Tsang became Julie Derico. The wedding was lovely, but there were a few who did not wish to see the union happen. A few even displayed their discontent by ignoring the ceremony entirely. It was a slap in the face, but Brice took it all in stride. He loved Julie. They would eventually learn to deal with it. If they didn’t, it was their problem, not his.

Unfortunately, Julie didn’t share his theory. She was tired of Sade’s attitude. How could she ruin her wedding like that? So she gave her a piece of her mind. This little scene caught the attention of several guests who responded in their own way.
Brice’s scorned former lover seemed sickened by the entire display. She didn’t like Julie and she didn’t like Brice, either. So why was she there? Oh, that’s right. Because Sade and Davina were going to be there and everyone was counting on a big fight.

They got their wish. Sade jumped the new bride after the cutting of the cake. She wanted to wipe that smug look right off of her pretty little face. Sade may have been the more mild-mannered twin, but she was also quite strong. She spent a lot of time at the campus gym and it showed during the fight.
Meanwhile, Jania was aghast at how Sade’s step-mother, Marisa acted. She was cheering for Julie! What nerve! Poor little Serena didn’t know what to think. She just pretended not to notice anything going on around her. Whenever her step-sibligns were involved, there always seemed to be trouble.

At the end of the day, the newlyweds left for their honeymoon. Everyone in the house was glad as the guests filtered out and the limo sped off. At least now they’d get some peace and quiet.
The day’s events left both the bride and groom shaken. Brice was upset at his family. How could they be so cruel to the woman he loved? Julie was enraged. Sade was now her enemy and it seemed like the rest of Brice’s family, excluding his step-mother, were about to join her. She would really have to suck up to Brice to make sure he didn’t collapse under their pressure.

Even with Brice and Julie gone, all was not well. A burglar apparently decided the Derico house was a good mark and broke in. The house’s security system alerted the local authorities and it wasn’t long before yet another brawl took place in their diningroom.
The cop lost. The burglar fled. Marisa was outraged. She berated the cop, chasing her out of the house. Lenny ushered the children back to bed. He just wanted to get some peace and quiet.

As per usual, it just wasn’t meant to be. Lenny had, once again, decided to use the telescope during the day… knowing full well which direction it had pointed. He was looking over the Proudmoore’s newly redone home when suddenly Blazej shoved him.
He jumped back in shock before shoving him right back. The two had quite the mouth battle right on the lawn. Lenny stormed inside, muttering under his breath.

Only to find that his wife had started a fire while trying to cook dinner. Luckily, they had a fire alarm and a firefighter arrived just in time. There were no injuries or damages… just some burnt spaghetti and extremely upset stomachs.

Finally, some good news knocked at the Derico door. The twins managed to get straight A’s. Marisa was positively beaming. Yes, the other children might have been hooligans, but her children were absolute angels. They had a proper upbringing and education. Soon they’d be attending college. She was very proud, very proud indeed.
It was obvious who would take over the Derico estate once Lenny passed on. They’d already signed the agreement that she’d take over everything once he was deceased. Now she was just securing her children’s futures. There wasn’t anything wrong with that, was there? Of course not.

The twins soon stepped over the threshold of teenagehood. They turned out very well. Damion decided that being popular was very important and Serena saw life as one big pleasure cruise. Marisa wasn’t exactly esctatic over her children’s choice of ambitions, but it would be worked around.

In an effort to help out around the house, Damion took to fixing things. He found he really liked taking apart electronics and seeing how they worked. Unfortunately, he tried it on their complex stereo system and got the shock of his life. Serena witnessed the event, horrified.
Damion survived the encounter a little charred, but alive nonetheless. His mother banned him from ever fixing anything again. Lenny just gave him a pat on the back. Serena suddenly had fears of being shocked herself and avoided all things electronic for a couple of days.

Of course, that soon wore off and she found herself hanging out downtown a lot. Her life ambition was to have a lot of excellent dates. She started with several of the teenage boys from her school. It wasn’t love or anything. Just two people having a great time. She became a regular at a local karaoke bar and was actually quite good.

While his daughter was out enjoying her youth, Lenny was becoming old. He found that his joints ached and he couldn’t get around as well as he used to. Still, he didn’t let it slow him down. With three daughters that all had partying, boys, and all sorts of things on their minds, he was always kept busy. He was thankful he had Damion to help him out.
It appeared Brice wanted nothing to do with his family anymore. It saddened Lenny, but what could he do? That Julie girl was bad news and he could tell it a mile away. The boy wouldn’t listen. He was lovesick. He’d come around eventually, they always do. Until then, it was an uncertain wait.
