Residents: Loraine Derico, Louis Proudmoore, Vincent Derico, Kitty Derico, Sadie Howe
Vincent: Hey, what’s the big idea? Didn’t you hear? I’m totally not a morning person. What? Ah, crap. I hate this stuff. Whatever, guess I don’t have a choice. Heh.
You’ve probably heard, but I’ll tell ya again. My twin sister, myself, and my girl all arrived at college, and not long after, got into the Greek House. Now we’re bunking down with my aunt Loraine and Louis Proudmoore. Guess he’s related by marriage, but since he’s dating my aunt, that’s kind of weird, so let’s pretend there’s no relation period, okay? Good.
So like I said before, Loraine and Louis were pretty serious, even before we got here. None of us were really surprised when he popped the question. Loraine was a senior and would be graduating soon, Louis was a year or so behind her. So it was kinda like a promise thing. Guess the folks back home, on Louis’ side, were pretty happy. On our side? My ‘aunt’ Alice was major freaking. It just seemed wrong to her. Uncle Damian didn’t seme to really care one way or the other. It wasn’t technically a ‘bad’ thing, yanno? No blood relation.
Louis and Loraine weren’t the only ones in love around here. Sadie and me… we were pretty close, too. She’s such a great person, y’know? To put up with me. I’m a little crazy and impulsive at times, but she’s with me 100%. I’ll totally be taking her home with me. I plan on making it official, but she doesn’t know that yet, heh. I want it to be a surprise. She’s been dropping hints like crazy.
Of course, where’s Kitty in all of this? Oh man, don’t get me started. Ever since we got here, she’s been all nutty over Louis. Not sure why, he doesn’t seem her type… she’s all dark and thoughtful, he’s all outgoing and charismatic. Just really weird.
Louis is my best bud, so it was hard for me not to notice my sister making googly eyes at him whenever she was around. I just hoped it stayed that way, y’know? We don’t need anymore drama in the family.
I never really took it seriously, ‘cause Kitty would hit on other guys. She flirted her way into the Secret Society. I guess that’s one way to do it, but Sadie and I planned on doing it the right way. Still, Kitty was pretty awful at charming people. Like I said, she’s kinda dark and totally misunderstood. Sometimes even I don’t get her. She’s also really, really shy. So I don’t get why she chose the path she did. Strange.
Eventually, Loraine graduated and left the Greek House. She was gonna go stay with Uncle Damian and his family until Louis graduated. Then they planned to get married. They were gonna live at the Proudmoore house. Things were starting to click in my head. Loraine was always big on money, I started wondering… she and Louis seemed pretty good together, but was that it? The Proudmoore’s were loaded, that was no lie. And their money was really guarded. They didn’t have kids like crazy like us Derico’s… they kept the family line pretty clean and straight.
Loraine always was a plotter… guess we’ll just have to see how it goes.
Time passes pretty quickly. Soon Louis was a senior and the rest of us were halfway through our college education. Kitty had a change of heart and decided that she had a new goal in life. Instead of Romancing, she just wants to be friendly like Louis and I. Its cool, now we can relate and stuff. But I don’t like the stuff that’s developing between Louis and Kitty. I dunno what it is, but it isn’t good.
It just got worse when we went out one night to celebrate. Louis would be leaving soon, so we were gonna have one last party as college students. We went downtown and had a blast… though some of us spent a little too much time at the bar.
Maybe I didn’t have the best time, but my drunken state sort of calmed my nerves. I finally asked Sadie to marry me. She wasn’t much of a drinker, so she was right on that. She asked me if I was sure, and I was like “well, yeah!” So she said yes. We’re gonna get married after college is all over with. She’s really happy, even if I did ask her at a bar while I was a little tipsy. Ah well… that’s just how I am. Impulsive.
I didn’t see Kitty or Louis much that night. Dunno where they ran off to… but I know they had both been hitting the bottle really hard. You know what that stuff does to your brain, removes your limits and stuff. They coulda been doing anything, and I really didn’t wanna know. I didn’t bother looking for them. By the time we were ready to leave, there they were. We all went home, no questions asked.
I wasn’t really in my right mind, so I can’t quite remember what happened when we got home. I know Sadie and me went to our room… but I thought I saw Kitty go with Louis. Which didn’t seem right. Maybe I was just seeing things, y’know? But when I got up really early–due to my killer hangover–I saw Kitty sneaking out of Louis’ room. I nearly died!
I really jumped her, and she nearly cried. It wasn’t cause she felt bad, but that she felt… I dunno. She actually likes him, but its complicated. Man, I don’t care. You don’t screw with someone else’s person, y’know? Especially not a family member’s fiancé! That’s just wrong. I couldn’t even look at her, so I just stormed off.
The next few days were pretty tense. The only things worth mentioning are that I got in the Secret Society. I still wasn’t talking to Kitty. I just couldn’t. I mean, how could she betray family like that? Man. And Louis, what was the deal? I guess he was pretty drunk, but still. He was acting funny, it wasn’t an obvious kind… I noticed ‘cause I’ve known the dude since we were kids. But I could tell he felt guilty. At least he acted normal. Kitty was just… man. If Sadie ever did that to me, I’d be livid.
Speaking of which, she got into the Secret Society, too. She was pretty excited, she liked the little perks. I mean, hey… who needs to go to class when a few keystrokes can get you the grades, heh. Yeah, we definitely made good use of that little trick. What a nice perk.
I didn’t tell her about Louis and Kitty. She didn’t need to be involved in the mess. It would just screw with her mind.
Louis graduated, and I was kind of thankful. I’d miss him, but at least now he could go back to Loraine, and they could get married. That would mean that Kitty would have to give up and move on. I couldn’t take much more of this weird love triangle stuff! Its really messing with my head, man. I don’t know where my loyalties lie. I just wish I’d never seen any of it.
Kitty is my twin, Loraine is my aunt. They’re both family and I just don’t know what to do. This big thinking stuff isn’t for me. I can’t wait to go home. Things’ll definitely be better there. This college stuff is just pure drama.
Of course, it wasn’t over yet. Before Louis left, I saw him and Kitty sneak off. Guess he was trying to tell her it was over or whatever. At least, I hope he was. They kissed for, what better be, the last time. They didn’t know that I saw it… and I don’t think I was the only one. Man, what a mess!
I just hope Kitty can get over this and just move on. I mean… she’s known Louis as long as I have. Why all of the sudden is she showin’ interest? Doesn’t make sense.
Once again, my sims take control of their own ‘destiny’. Kitty had the hots for Louis and vice versa ever since the twins arrived. They were always sitting next to each other and what not. Both had two bolts, same number that Louis and Loraine shared. Then Kitty changed aspirations. She was honestly the WORST Romance sim I have ever played. Ugh. She rolled Popularity. Another ugh. I’m tempted to rename this ‘Popularity Valley’. Cripes. So now they’re up to three bolts. No clue what’s gonna happen… I’ll let the sims decide that.
