Residents: Cale & Elle Dallas, Alan & Diana Love

The first thing Elle Derico did upon graduating was use her womanly wiles to get her boyfriend Cale to pop the question. Surprisingly, he caught on quite quickly and it wasn’t long before he’d given her the ring she’d been waiting for since she was a small girl.
The wedding was a quick and small affair, held in the empty house they’d bought together not long after. Elle claimed it was symbolic, Cale just didn’t want to waste money. He was worried they wouldn’t have enough left over for the neccessities, like a book shelf or a telescope (knowledge sim).

It wasn’t until the wedding was over that Elle’s parents got a chance to actually meet Cale. Thankfully, they all got on well and Elle had no fears of her parent’s disapproval. She was a little worried that her father Damian would pull the overprotective father card and give poor Cale some long, drawn out speech on how if he hurts his daughter, Cale will find himself paralyzed on the edge of a desert road.
Goodness knows how many boyfriends he’d scared off with that one!

As soon as everyone filed out of the evening, Cale made some changes of his own. He tossed his perscription sunglasses and replaced them with actual glasses. With a few skillful snips, his shaggy hair finally became manageable. Elle was delighted with the new look, as they were both things she was incredibly attracted to. Sure, he looked a little older now, but it wasn’t as if it mattered anymore. He was married.
Besides, he wanted to know everything there was to know about all things. He couldn’t have messy hair and dark glasses getting in his way!

Happily, the two retired to their room for the night. Elle was beside herself with joy. Everything was falling into place now. She was married, soon she’d have children, and eventually… she’d get her heart’s greatest wish. To grow old and happy with the one she loved. It should be a crime to be this happy at such a young age.
First, however, they needed to work on making the large house a little less empty. Perhaps fill it with the pitter patter of little feet…

A few months later, Diana and Alan Love joined them in their humble home. Diana had phoned her older sister right before graduation. She wanted to know if they could share a house, if only for awhile, because real estate in the Valley was skyrocketing. The house was plenty big, so Elle agreed. She and Diana had grown closer during their college years… it would nice to have family around again.
Elle was also happy to see that Alan had cut off his long hair. Everytime she had seen him before with it, she’d always wanted to attack him with scissors. Call her old fashioned, but it just wasn’t right. He looked like a girl!

Diana and Alan were head over heels in love, and they weren’t hesitant to show it. Sometimes Elle couldn’t help but feel sick to her stomach. Sure, she loved Cale and vice versa, but they kept the majority of their expressions behind closed doors. Diana and Alan couldn’t seem to keep their hands off one another. Of course, they were younger, and it was probably just newlywed bliss or whatever they call it.
At least, Elle hoped it was. She didn’t want to subject her children to such wanton acts of love. This wasn’t college, after all!

The reason for Elle’s moodiness towards her sister’s love life made itself apparent not long after. She was pregnant. Cale was everybit the doting father, putting down his books and caring for his wife’s every need. It was a bit obsessive, Elle thought. Her pregnancy wasn’t a difficult one. She rarely felt as if she might collapse, she was just constantly hungry. Cale was a better cook, though, so she certainly didn’t mind him preparing her meals.

Jenna Jeffress was often found at the Dallas/Love home. She and Elle had developed a friendship over the course of their college years, and she and Diana were still the best of friends. Normally everyone was at work, so she and Elle would share gossip. What was said never left the house, though. They weren’t out to ruin lives, it was just good conversation.
When Elle became pregnant, Jenna was around even more. She loved talking to Elle’s belly. Elle felt a sort of sorrow wash over her whenever she watched Jenna. She could tell there was a war waging inside of her. While she was still engaged to Rex, there had been no mention of it going further. Elle was half-tempted to stomp down the street and smack her cousin upside the head for being an idiot.

Elle’s labor was as easy as her pregnancy. She felt the contractions, alerted her husband, and off they went to the hospital. They returned with Brendan Dallas. Elle was a little disappointed; he didn’t have the Derico eyes. Still, he was a cute little tyke and his baby blues grew on her quickly.
Everyone in the house fawned over the new infant, even Diana and Alan were found sneaking into the nursery to cuddle and play with Brendan. Elle worried that he would grow up spoiled by all the attention, so started shooing the others away when she caught them.

Diana wouldn’t have to worry long about her sister’s strange parenting. She’d soon have a child of her own. She was elated, but the morning sickness was positively awful. She spent the majority of her first few weeks face down in the porcelian bowl. It just wasn’t fair. Elle’s had been so easy…

If I keep getting females, prepare to see redundant looking male townies/NPCs. There are only three pre-built templates I can stand… though some I will accept if the sim really likes them (Blazej). I’m also smooshing their families together because the house count is getting a bit out of control.
I’m big on genetics and right now… I’m trying to kill off the Derico nose. All Dericos except Sade (she was a carbon copy of placeholder mother), Rex (Steven’s nose), and Jamie (he has Daelin’s nose). Randy may also be free of it… but that’s because of Alice’s influence. Hopefully Cale and Alan will rid of the nose, too. I mean… its okay, but they ALL have it. Let’s mix it up a bit, eh?
I hope the custom eye colors last. I don’t like the default ones at all. Bleh… if I could change them in SimPE, I would. But I’m lazy. Its bad enough I have to change townie names so I don’t have twenty million Marisas running around.
