Diana: Hi there! Diana Love here. Nice to meet you! As you know, I live with my big sis Elle, her husband, and my own hubby. We’re just one big happy family! Especially now that both Elle and I are pregnant. It’s a lot of fun going through it with someone else. Lot’s of time to bond and all that.

My darling hubby, Alan, is so ambitious. He is really big on becoming Mayor of the Valley. He’s even made nice with Jania Jeffress, the current mayor. She’s going to retire soon and he’s hoping she’ll put in a good word for him with her friends and stuff. She seems to like him–she’s even taken him under her wing! I don’t think he’ll have any trouble fulfilling his dream.

My little nephew Brendan had a birthday; he’s such a little cutie! I’m not really sure who he looks like more, Cale or Elle. I think he might be a nice mix of both. It’s too bad he didn’t get the trademark Derico eyes, though! Maybe the genes are getting weak? That’s not good. I hope one of my children manages to get my eyes! So far, the only ones with them were my grandpa Daelin, my mom Alice, and myself! It’s such a pretty color, too…

Of course, everything can’t be fabulous all the time. My water broke one day and I was screaming like there was no tomorrow. It hurt so bad! Elle never told me it would be like this! Poor Alan was really reluctant to come near me after I finally gave birth. Apparently I was yelling all sorts of horrible things at him in the delivery room. I don’t even remember… Hehe, oops!

It was all worth it in the end when I brought little Alex home! He’s so adorable. Being a mother is such an amazing feeling! It’s made me realize that I want to have one more child. I’m sure mom will be happy. She wants lot’s of grandkids. She visits a lot. We have to tell her not to spoil the child too terribly… but she never listens. I can only imagine what will happen when they are old enough to demand things!

Cale doesn’t seem to be as fatherly as Elle would like. She’s often stuck taking care of little Brendan herself. It’s not for a lack of trying on Cale’s part, it just isn’t natural to him. He’s one of those thinker types… nose in a book and all that stuff. He’s not the best as dealing with a babbling little toddler, no matter how cute the toddler might be! One thing he did do, though… was teach Brendan some skills. Now there’s something he was good at, much to Elle’s relief.

My hubby, Alan, on the other hand… you’d swear he was all about family! He dotes on Alex as much, if not more, than I do. Anytime I go to care for my son, Alan is already there. Sometimes I feel a little slighted, but I guess I’m getting used to it. I just hope he doesn’t become too Mr. Mom-like. I mean… that’d just be weird, you know?

Elle went through her second pregnancy like nothing. I was so envious! I don’t know how she does it. She was so happy to see that the newest addition was a girl. They named her Emma. Such a pretty name! I hope I have a girl, too. Then we’ll all be even; two girls, two boys! Little Emma had her daddy’s skintone and the Derico eyes.

Time seems to fly so fast… Alex’s third birthday came so quickly! He’s such a handsome little toddler, though. Very anxious and willing to learn, just like his daddy. I worry he’ll run out of things to do and start mucking around in the toliet! I hope we can keep him occupied… that’s such an icky habit.

Brendan is a big boy now. He looks like he’ll be a little heartbreaker. Isn’t he just adorable? He loves school and never needs to be nagged to do his homework. Elle is so proud of him. Cale is trying to teach him the importance of knowledge and spends a lot of time helping Brendan with his homework. It’s sweet, in a nerdy sort of way… I mean, at least they’re spending time together.

Emma also had a birthday–such a cutie-patootie! She loves following her brother, Brendan around. She and Alex also like to fight over things. They seem to be developing a cute little rivalry. It never gets too heated… so hopefully we won’t have to worry when they get bigger! It seems to be more of a ‘battle for attention’ than anything. The little rugrats!
The other day Elle told me that she was thinking she wasn’t going to have anymore kids. I was surprised, but that’s probably a good thing. I had just returned from the doctor that day… he told me I was pregnant again! I haven’t told anyone yet, I want it to be a surprise.
